Each year TAHHI makes available monies in the form of grants that are awarded to Stan Smithsupport the expansion of the tennis program in the Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Beaufort area. In the past, these grant funds have been used to purchase equipment, support local programs, and to sponsor events. Should you wish to make a request for grant funds, go to the "Grant Application Page" and print out the request form. The completed form should then be sent along with letters of reference to the chairperson of the Grants and Awards committee, Becky Davis, at this address:

Former grant recipients include:

1) The Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head in the amount of $500. The Grant money was used to purchase tennis rackets, nets and straps, and other equipment to be used by the dozens of children in their after school tennis program.

2) The Beaufort Tennis Association in the amount of $850. The grant money was used to purchase much-needed benches for the downtown Beaufort public courts.

3) Kindergarten Tennis, which is presented by Public Tennis, Inc. and U.S.T.A. in the amount of $350. Through fun and games, bouncing and hitting, and playing with family and friends, this program will help young children develop a love for tennis.

4) $1000 was given to help start the first ever U.S.T.A. Super Senior 3.0 and 3.5 levels for players 75 years of age and above. Eight teams played in these leagues!!!

5) Public Tennis Inc. of Hilton Head in the amount of $500. The monies will be used toward their building fund to help payoff the costs of the two new courts that were opened this year at the Island's Chaplin Park.

6) Bobcat Community Tennis Center in Bluffton in the amount of $500. The monies will be used to help offset the costs of building two more much needed courts at the Bluffton High School. We applaud the exceptional jobs of the Boys and Girls Club on Hilton Head Island, Don Grider our Senior Men’s League Coordinator, Terry Logan of the Beaufort Tennis Association, Jacqueline Houck of PTI Hilton Head, as well as Robert Brown of the Bobcat Community Tennis Center for their help in promoting tennis in our growing and diverse community.
